The SABC’s Group Executive for Human Resources, Jonathan Thekiso, has detailed events of former employees being paid the remainder of their contracts in order for them to leave the public broadcaster.
The SABC CEO Madoda Mxakwe says that he believes that he and two other executives are standing in the way of the bailout. Mxakwe concluded his testimony at the Commission of Inquiry into State Capture in Johannesburg on Tuesday.
The SABC is expected to broadcast sports events of national interest as per ICASA regulations and yet receives no support to fund them.
