South African athletics’ golden girl Caster Semenya has won a 2 000 metre race at the Montreuil athletics meeting in France.
Double Olympic 800 metres champion Caster Semenya has been included in South Africa’s preliminary team for this year’s world championships in Doha, though it is dependent on the outcome of her appeal to the Swiss Federal Tribunal.
The IAAF said it will fight a Swiss court decision to suspend its rules obliging athletes to lower their testosterone levels.
South Africa’s star olympian, Caster Semenya, is likely to be able to compete for around a month at international 800 metre races.
A Swiss court has ruled that the IAAF ruling regarding testosterone levels in female athletes with sexual differences is suspended ahead of Olympic runner, Caster Semenya’s appeal on the matter.
