Some residents of Alexandra north of Johannesburg have boycotted the polls due to what they say is government’s failure to deliver basic services such as water and sanitation to their area.
Several voting stations did not open on time on Wednesday morning leaving voters angry and frustrated in and around Johannesburg. Some polling stations opened late while others did not have voting material when they opened.
