The first heavy winter rains have hit the Cape Peninsula causing flash flooding on various roads.
Traffic spokesperson, Richard Coleman, has warned motorists to be vigilant as water puddles are prevalent on the N-1 and N-2 highways coming into the CBD.
Disaster Risk Management says crews will conduct assessments in low-lying areas later on Thursday morning.
The weather conditions are expected to ease by Thursday evening.
