Chiefs break Baroka hoodoo

Kaizer Chiefs beat Baroka FC for the first time, since they became their hoodoo team seven years ago.

Ten men Amakhosi came from a goal down, to beat “Bakgaga” 2-1, in an Absa Premiership match played at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane on Sunday.

Chippa United and Golden Arrows played to a goalless draw, in a match played at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.

On Saturday night, Lyle Foster’s late goal helped Orlando Pirates secure a point with 1-1 draw against Polokwane City at Orlando Stadium in the Absa Premiership.

Pirates were looking for their third successive win in 2018.

AmaZulu meanwhile returned to winning ways in the Absa Premiership at King Zwelithini Stadium in Umlazi, with a 2-0 victory over SuperSport United earlier on Saturday.

Siyabonga Nomvethe and Ovidy Karuru found the back of the net for Usuthu.

Aubrey Modiba missed a penalty kick for United.
