Swiss reach semis with remarkable win over Belgium

Switzerland recorded a remarkable come-from-behind victory when they walloped Belgium 5-2 to advance to the UEFA Nations League finals.

Haris Seferovic scored a hat-trick to stun the Roberto Martinez-led side in Switzerland.

England also came back from a goal down to beat Croatia 2-1 at Wembley Stadium in London.

In the opening stages of the match, they were not missing their record scorer, Romelu Lukaku, as the Hazard brothers, Eden and Thorgan were leading the attack along with Dries Mertens.

It was 2-0 by the 17th minute as Thorgan completed his brace but the home side did not give up and produced a remarkable to take the half-time lead.

At halftime, it was 3-2 to Switzerland. The Swiss score two more goals in the second hand to book their spot in the UEFA Nations League finals.

England and Croatia were looking for nothing but a win to advance to the UEFA Nations League finals.

The fans had to wait until the second half to see a goal in the match. Jesse Lingard came off the bench and restored parity from point-blank range.

With five minutes remaining, the Three Lions won a free kick and Harry Kane reacted the quickest to win the match for England.

Northern Ireland took on Austria, keen to register their first point in League B Group 3. However, things did not go according to plan as Austria were the first on the score-board.

Moments later, the home side found the equaliser. They had a chance to take the lead for the first time in the match but in vain. Northern Ireland were relegated as Austria made it 2-1 in stoppage time.

In other matches, Estonia and Belarus beat Greece and San Marino 1-0 and 2-0 respectively.

While Moldova and Luxembourg played out to a 1-1 draw.
