Stormers to face Sharks in Super Rugby this weekend

Reading Time: 2 minutes

The Stormers return to Super Rugby action this weekend after a bye in the previous round, against new log leaders the Sharks in Durban.

The Sharks beat the Jaguares on Saturday to overtake the Stormers. So Saturday’s match will be a top of the table and Conference clash between the two South African sides.

Stormers winger and Blitzboks star Seabelo Senatla, who has never hidden his Springbok fifteens ambitions, says he just focusses on performing well in each game.

He is looking forward to this weekend’s challenge of facing friends and World Cup winners Makazole Mapimpi and Sbu Nkosi, as well as the exciting Aphelele Fassi in the Sharks back three.

With a lot at stake on Saturday, Senatla says that the Durban conditions could also be a big factor on the weekend.

The 27-year-old feels he has had a decent season so far and says apart from one disappointing performance, he has been satisfied.

Senatla says that after their disappointing loss in their last game to the Blues, their first loss of the season, the Stormers only trained twice during their bye week but returned to full training this week.

Senatla says their focus in the build-up to this game has been on themselves, and how to get back to winning ways. – Report by Rob Delport
