Stormers head to Argentina for Jaguares clash

Reading Time: < 1 minute

The Stormers head off to Argentina this week to play the Jaguares in a Super Rugby game that will be key if the Western Cape franchise want to qualify for the play-offs.

A 25-man squad will depart on Tuesday, and the team will be without Pieter-Steph Du Toit and Ernst Van Rhyn due to injury.

Springboks Siya Kolisi and Frans Malherbe will also miss out, as they will be rested as part of the Springbok management plan.

There are, however, returns for Jaco Coetzee and Sikhumbuzo Notshe.

With a bye the following week, Stormers Coach Robbie Fleck says they have an opportunity to play a strong team against the Jaguares.

While the Stormers beat the Jaguares quite easily in Cape Town, winning 35-8, Fleck says they are a very different outfit in Argentina.

While the Stormers are currently 4th in the SA Conference table, 3 points behind the Sharks, Fleck says it could have been a very different season, considering how many times they crossed the try line without scoring. -Report by Rob Delport
