State releases indictment charge sheet against Zuma

The State has released the indictment charge sheet against former President Jacob Zuma.

On Monday, the Hawks crime fighting unit served a summons on Zuma to appear before the Durban High Court on April 6.

The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) will prosecute Zuma on 16 charges of corruption, money laundering and racketeering. The charges relate to the controversial multi-billion-rand arms deal of the late 1990s, when Zuma was MEC for Economic Affairs and Tourism in KwaZulu-Natal.

Earlier this month, NPA boss Shaun Abrahams said there was a reasonable prospect of successfully prosecuting Zuma.
