State capture inquiry to resume on Monday

The Commission of Inquiry into State Capture is expected to resume on Monday morning in Parktown in Johannesburg.

Chief Director of Communications at the National Treasury, Phumza Macanda is expected to take the stand and former GCIS CEO Mzwanele Manyi, will also give his testimony.

Manyi previously rubbished the evidence of acting GCIS head Phumla Williams where she said when Manyi took over at government communications, he implemented a slew of changes which included that the media buying division report directly to him.

Later in the week, African National Congress chairperson Gwede Mantashe will present his evidence. Mantashe has been implicated in the testimonies of some of the witnesses.
