Sri Lanka bat against South Africa in second Test

Sri Lanka captain Suranga Lakmal won the toss and elected to bat against South Africa in the second and final Test in Colombo on Friday.

The hosts, eyeing their first series win over the Proteas since 2006 after their thumping win in the opening game last week, have replaced Lakshan Sandakan with versatile off-spinner Akila Dananjaya.

The Faf du Plessis-led South Africa have made two changes from the side that lost the Test in Galle by 278 runs under three days.

Paceman Lungi Ngidi and allrounder Theunis de Bruyn have been added to the XI in place of Vernon Philander and Tabraiz Shamsi.
