The man dubbed the “Springs Monster” will remain in custody until sentencing the High Court in Pretoria in October while his wife’s bail has been extended.
This comes after the man was found guilty of rape, attempted murder and child abuse. He’s also convicted of defeating the ends of justice, child neglect, possession and dealing in drugs.
The man’s wife has been found guilty of child neglect and defeating the ends of justice but not guilty on charges of child abuse, dealing of drugs and attempted murder.
The crimes occurred at the couple’s home on Gauteng’s East Rand two years ago. Their children are currently at a place of safety.
