Spacecraft Zuma set to take off on Friday

Reading Time: < 1 minute

South African born tech entrepeneur, Elon Musk, is preparing to launch a spacecraft called Zuma into space after two delays.

Bad weather in 2017 forced postponements of the launch.

The launch of Zuma by SpaceX is now scheduled for Friday (US time).

The mystery US government spacecraft is called ‘Zuma’ – an apparent play on the verb – ‘zoom’.

Zuma is set to blast off from Florida’s Cape Canaveral in the US from Musk’s Pad number 40 launch facility.

Musk’s SpaceX made history some years ago with his re-usable Falcon Nine rockets which fly back to earth and land – so that they can be used again.
