The South African film, “Five Fingers for Marseilles”, will soon be released in American, Japanese and Scandinavian cities.
Screen Africa says South Africa’s first western-genre flick will go on circuit in 17 American cities in September this year. It will also be released by Amazon Prime’s video- on-demand service after that, further increasing the picture’s global cinema audience.

Writer and producer, Sean Drummond says he is overjoyed about the movie’s international release, saying that it has fairly universal themes and ideas.
The movie tells the story of a group of young men who stands up to brutal police oppression in Marseilles, a town in the rugged badlands of the Eastern Cape. It was awarded best South African Film in Development at the Durban Film Mart in 2013.
