The Supreme Fight League (SFL) will host five events at the Barnyard Theatre in Rivonia, n 2018.

Fighters who perform well on a consistent basis at SFL stand a chance to be selected and compete at Glory Kickboxing events, which is seen as the largest promotion in the world.

The first event on March 2 sees heavyweight K1 headliners in which experienced MMA fighter and kickboxer, Ruan Erasmus clashes with Justin Clarke for the K1 title belt.

Clarke hails from Pretoria and has a stellar record of 12 wins and only 4 losses. Erasmus has an impressive MMA record of 34 wins and 2 losses, and a K1 record of 6 wins and 1 loss.

In another fight, Pretoria-based Rami “Pitbull” Mungul will clash against Cape Town’s Karl “Baywatch” Bergemann. Rami is on a 9-fight winning streak having finished all of his opponents in devastating fashion.

Fans will also witness the return of Brandon “The Ultimate Warrior” Mashele as he takes on Thabo “The Natural” Chauke.

Among the women, there are two fights on the card. Two accomplished South African champions face off in a fast-paced, aggressively styled fight, with Sozette Du Plessis and Jackie Brits taking up the challenge.

In their full-contact debut, the powerful Mari van der Linde and SA champion Catherine Tupling will take their point-fighting and experience and grit to the Full Contact arena.

Tupling, having won a bronze medal at the WAKO World Championships last year, is known for her speed and technique while Van der Linde will be a tough match as she brings power and an aggressive fighting style to the mix.
