Social grants beneficiaries assured SASSA cards will not change

Social grant agency South Africa Social Security Agency (Sassa) has asked the Constitutional Court for an extension on its contract with Cash Paymester Services (CPS) to pay out grants.

Social Development Committee chairperson in Parliament, Zoleka Capa has assured all social grant beneficiaries that South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) cards will remain the same and that pay points will never change.

This after she received complaints from beneficiaries in various rural areas of the Eastern Cape that they are being forced to use Net 1 credit cards.

Capa refutes the claims being made about Net1 cards.
