Dinilesizwe Sobukwe, the son of Robert Sobukwe, has passed away. The Pan Africanist Congress (PAC) says he died at the Livingstone Hospital in Port Elizabeth after a short illness.
The party has expressed their sadness about his death.
PAC general secretary, Apa Pooe, says Dinilesizwe’s death is great loss.
“The dark cloud is hovering over the PAC family, with the passing of Dinilesizwe. As the PAC, we want to pass condolences to the family and the PAC family and South Africans; that today we have lost a son of the soil.”
The PAC says that it is in communication with the Sobukwe family and will make announcements on the funeral details in due time.
