Reading Time: < 1 minute

Shares in Kenya have proven to be the best among sub-Saharan African countries on the stock market. Kenyan shares trounce the JSE by a large margin in the last 10-years.

The country joined South African shares in creating dollar-based gains since 2010.

Nairobi’s benchmark scale moved up 74%, with Johannesburg’s benchmark up just short of 9%; while the Zambian and Nigerian stock markets both contracted nearly 50% since the decade opened.
