Second memorial service for king Zwelonke Sigcawu to take place

A memorial service of AmaXhosa King Zwelonke Sigcawu will be held at the Nelson Mandela Museum in Mthatha on Tuesday. It will be the second memorial service for him in the Eastern Cape.

The first service was held last Friday in Sabalele village in Cofimvaba where the late king spent his childhood. The Abbotsford Christian Centre in East London will host the official memorial service on Wednesday afternoon ahead of the burial at Nqadu Great Place, Willowvale on Friday.

King Sigcawu has been accorded a Special Official Funeral Category one. Condolences books are at the Union Buildings in Pretoria, Parliament in Cape Town, the Office of the Premier in Bhisho, provincial legislatures, Nqadu Great Place as well as the Mnquma and Mbhashe municipalities.
