The second edition of Gauteng Premier David Makhura‘s social cohesion games will reach its conclusion this weekend.

After last weekend’s round of 16 action, the finals will take place at the Ace Ntsoelengoe Stadium in Randfontein.

The aim of the games is to promote social cohesion, nation building and mobilizing citizens and communities against racism and xenophobia in the Gauteng Province.

Former Bloem Celtic player and now businessman Kennedy Makara says they use sports for social cohesion because sports is the language that is accepted by all.

“The football teams we have comprise of players from different countries and of different races so when one player scores, everyone celebrates the victory.”
