Sixty three drivers have been arrested on Western Cape roads this weekend while fifty-six were caught driving under the influence.
Provincial Traffic chief, Kenny Africa, says seven drivers were arrested for a number of transgressions, including fraudulent documentation; bribery; reckless driving and overloading.
A drunk and disorderly pedestrian was also arrested in Vredendal. Africa says 47 drivers were prosecuted for speeding. The highest speed recorded was in Knysna – at 112km/h in a 70 zone.
