Motorists and commuters using toll plazas across the country are expected to be affected as members of trade union Satawu down tools.

The action which started Monday morning is over a wage dispute between the union and transport company Inter Africa.

The union is demanding a R7 000 and R11 000 minimum wage for two groups.

Union spokesperson Zanele Sabela says the employer is only offering R3 900 for the toll collectors and R7 066 for the supervisors.

She says: “We will continue negotiating while on strike.”
