The South African National Editors’ Forum (Sanef) has sent its condolences to the family of the business editor of news and analysis website Conversation Africa Sibonelo Radebe who died in a car crash last week.

He worked in the media for over 20 years including for publications such as Business Day, the Financial Mail and The New Age.

Sanef secretary general Moipone Malefane says his memorial service will be held on Thursday at a still to be confirmed venue.

“As Sanef we are deeply saddened by this loss to the media industry. We will always remember his personality, he was cheerful, and he also was very argumentative if he believes in anything and he was loved by his colleagues.  We send our deepest condolences to his family and to his colleagues at The Conversation and across the entire media industry. May his soul rest in peace.”
