President Cyril Ramaphosa says his administration is determined to root out corruption. Speaking during an address to the South African National Editors Forum (Sanef) at Tuynhuis at Parliament, Ramaphosa says the country has gone through a difficult time, but his administration wants to bring about change.

“ This administration is determined to root out corruption. Also determined to make sure that those who have been involved in corrupt activity will be brought to book,” emphasized Ramaphosa.

During the meeting, Sanef chairperson Mahlatse Mahlase, called on the Presidency to have regular engagements with the media.

Mahlase says this will also improve relations between the Presidency and the media.

“It hasn’t always been great relationship in past few years but hoping that this is beginning of many. Lobby Mr President that we are proposing that we have similar engagements once a quarter.”
