Disaster has struck British soul singer Sam Smith’s current tour of South Africa, with the sensation’s last two shows in the Mother City cancelled.
Big Concerts International has just announced that medical experts in Cape Town and the singer’s team have advised the star to rest after he walked off stage in the city on Tuesday night.
Smith apparently took strain to his voice on his current world tour, The Thrill of it All.
According to a statement, Smith is upset that he is unable to perform for Capetonians on Wednesday night and Thursday evening at the GrandWest Casino.
The promoter says those who have bought tickets will be refunded. The singer of the Bond theme, Writing’s on the Wall, gave two shows in Jo’burg at the weekend.
