SACP alleges Blade Nzimande’s life is at risk

Reading Time: < 1 minute

South African Communist Party (SACP) first deputy general-secretary Solly Mapaila has appealed to the South African Police Services and government to offer protection to their leader Blade Nzimande and his family.

The party says they have discovered a plot by some people from KwaZulu-Natal to assassinate Nzimande.

Mapaila says since Nzimande was appointed Transport Minister, he has discovered a lot of rot implicating certain people.

“We have understood that these corrupt elements, capturers of the state will not go without a fight. Some of them, the Gupta’s for instance, are running away from the State but those whose really still in the country will not go without a fight. This is what perhaps they are, first punch against the leadership of the communist party. They’ve set up an operational centre to coordinate this to start looking at every move it takes. That is why we think the police must talk to them so he’s not here now and it’s important to raise this point so they can remain safe.”
