The South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) will host the announcement of the 2017 National Senior Certificate (NSC) Matric results on Thursday, January 4, 2018.
The public broadcaster also offers bursaries to deserving students to further their studies.
The SABC, in partnership with the Department of Basic Education, has an SMS line which enables matriculants to register and receive their results on their phone.
Speaking on Morning Live, SABC Foundation CEO Iris Cupido says they will be giving 60 bursaries to deserving students.
“We will give a bursary to a child that has done really really well, that otherwise would not have been able to go to university because their parents simply wouldn’t be able tpo afford it,” says Cupido.

- SMS ID Number To: 35658 (R1.50 per SMS)
- Dial USSD Code: *120*35658# (R0.50 per 20 seconds)
The results will be announced on Thursday on SABC 2 at 6pm.
