The South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) Foundation has handed over food parcels to 150 poverty stricken families for the Christmas season in Wepener, Free State.
The Foundation’s CEO Iris Cupido says it is that time of the year to share with families that are less fortunate. It combined the project with the Leeuw family who have been providing meals for the community on Christmas day for the past ten years.
“The Foundation this time of the year do this an we are particularly inspired by the Leeuw family that have doing this for the past ten years who give up their entire Christmas to feed this community an so they are the inspiration behind this . So this year we are feeding the community with them,” Cupido said.
