SA govt intervenes to free SA hostage in Yemen

The Department of International Relations and Cooperation sent their deputy minister, Ebrahim Ebrahim to Yemen last weekend to help mediate the release of South African teacher, Pierre Korkie.

Ebrahim was expected to meet with the Yemeni government and other interested parties about the kidnapping.

Korkie and his wife were taken hostage in May 2012. In studio to talk about the latest developments from Yemen is the departments Nelson Kgwete:
