Today marks Heritage Day and President Cyril Ramaphosa will address the main celebrations at Mxolisi Jacobs Stadium in Upington in the Northern Cape later on Tuesday morning.
This Heritage Day takes place under the theme – 25 Years of Democracy: Celebrating South Africa’s literary classics in the year of Indigenous languages.

As the country marks Heritage Day, South Africans will celebrate the day through indigenous languages.
President Ramaphosa will use his address to the nation to urge South Africans to preserve and promote their languages as well as their national identity.
The formal programme will be preceded by the official hand-over of a newly built library to the community.
Thousands of those expected at the event will be entertained by a diverse cultural performance showcasing the country’s diverse heritage.
Government services will also be provided on site before and after the formal event.
