A cold front is expected over the weekend for many parts of the country, with temperatures peaking between 14 and 18 degrees celcius.
Light rainfall is also expected in some provinces.
Forecaster at the South African Weather Services Bransby Bulo elaborates:
“We are experiencing cold conditions over the Western Cape, and areas like Free State, western parts of KwaZulu-Natal as well as Gauteng and Mpumalanga. For Gauteng we are looking at maximum temperatures of between 16 and 18 tomorrow. In the Eastern Cape in areas close to the Drakensburg, temperatures will be cold there as well over this weekend, and temperatures will range between 14 and 16 degrees Celsius.”
