RwandAir to touchdown in Cape Town for first time

Rwanda’s state airline, RwandAir has announced it be will adding Cape Town to its international travelling itenary.

The first flight is scheduled to touch down at Cape Town International Airport Wednesday afternoon.

The four-hour long flights from Kigali to Cape Town are expected to take place four times a week.

The airline currently flies to 26 destinations including several African countries, London and other European cities.

RwandAir Quality Assurance Director, Sonia Kamikazi says the flight to and from Cape Town includes a stopover in Zimbabwe’s capital, Harare.

She says: “A lot of research has been done by our analysts, our networking department and our commercial department and thats how they come up with a sector with a stopover to Harare because Harare was showing that its missing this sector. We believe it will work well.”
