Tributes continue to pour in following the death of anti-apartheid activist, Mama Zondeni Sobukwe.

The widow of the PAC’s founding president Robert Sobukwe died in the early hours of Wednesday morning at the age of 91.

As the PAC and the country mourn her death, there has been a view that despite the role she played in the struggle for black liberation, she never got the recognition she deserved for the sacrifices she made.

Meanwhile, her passing coincided with remains of 4 members of the PAC armed wing Poqo have been exhumed on Wednesday.

Former APLA Commander Daniel Mohato Mofokeng says Sobukwe was an activist who played a role not only as a wife to Robert but as a member of PAC as well.
