The role played by the late African National Congress (ANC) stalwart, Winnie Madikizela-Mandela, during the liberation struggle will be a point of discussion in Johannesburg on Sunday evening.

ANC President, Cyril Ramaphosa , will be delivering a “Winnie Madikizela-Mandela Legacy Lecture at the city hall.
The ruling party has dedicated a week of activities to honour her struggle and sacrifices during apartheid in South Africa. She would have celebrated her birthday on September 26.

President Ramaphosa and Mama Winnie had shown close ties in the few months before her death earlier this year. He’s expected to be joined by ANC senior officials during the “Legacy Lecture” Sunday evening.
