ANC President Cyril Ramaphosa has acknowledged that unemployment is a key issue in the country and says the ANC has made it a focus area.

Ramaphosa says the party’s election manifesto for the 2019 polls, will work towards reuniting the South African public with the ruling party. He launched the provincial manifesto for the ANC in Kimberley in the Northern Cape at the Galeshewe Stadium.

“The ANC is working very hard as we launch this manifesto to reconnect with our people. We know that one of the big challenges is that many of our people are not working. We have made unemployment a key area of focus and it is for that reason that we have been mobilising investment to come to our country of both local investors as well as offshore investors to come here and open up factories and open up mines and open up a number of other businesses so that we can create jobs. ”
