PSL mid-season transfer window opens

The Premier Soccer League mid-season transfer window, allowing clubs to register new players for the second half of the season, opened on Thursday.

Most clubs and players’ agents are reluctant to comment.

An agent, Jazzman Mahlakgane, does not expect any major movements in his camp as most of his players are still contracted to their clubs.

Another players’ agent, Glyn Binkin, says it is still premature to comment about any of his players’ movements.

There is speculation that one of his charges, Aubrey Modiba, has received offers from clubs in South Africa and overseas.

Modiba’s contract with SuperSport United will end in July this year and he is unlikely to sign a new deal.

Chippa United also looks certain to part ways with Cameroon goal-keeper Patrick Tignyemb.
