Protestors have started to gather outside the Western Cape legislature as Premier Helen Zille delivers her last State of the Province Address (SOPA).
The African National Congress (ANC) had called for community members to picket outside the legislature and come and listen to their address which they claim is the real SOPA.
Community members of the Bo-Kaap area and the ANC are displaying placards supporting the role of the Anti-Gang Unit in fighting gangsterism and calling for a stop to the erection of high rise buildings in the area.
Zille took up office in 2009 making her the longest serving Premier in the Western Cape.
