A 34-year-old man will appear in the Pretoria Magistrate’s Court on Monday for allegedly murdering a young woman and hiding her body in the chimney inside the building of the Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Department.
Security found the woman’s decomposed body.
Police spokesperson, Daniel Mavimbela says police made a breakthrough in the case on Friday in Mamelodi in the east of Pretoria nearly a year after the woman’s body was found in December 2017.
Mavimbela says other details uncovered during the investigation will be heard at the commencement of the court processes.
The suspect is expected to be charged with murder and will appear in the Pretoria Magistrate’s court on Monday.
The station commander of Sunnyside, Brigadier Ramakamakama Kekana has expressed his gratitude to everyone who assisted the police with information during the difficult investigation.
