By winning the Absa Premiership Coach of the Month Award for the record third time, Kaizer Chiefs head coach Ernst Middendorp has revealed that now his main priority is to go all out for the league title.

Speaking at the PSL headquarters in Parktown where he picked up his November Coach of the Month Award, his third of the season, Middendorp is fully aware that they haven’t won anything yet.

But what is important is that as things stand they are 10 points clear at the top after 13 games played and they’ve got something to build on ahead of the second round which gets under way next month. Middendorp has more on the priority going forward.

No matter what happens at Harry Gwala Stadium this coming weekend, where Chiefs travel to meet Maritzburg United in their final league game 2019, Amakhosi will finish the year on top of the log.

But Middendorp knows the importance of wrapping up the year in style as they also look to wrap up Q2 after winning Q1 earlier this month.

Middendorp also reserved some praise for the November player of the month Sipho Mbule of SuperSport United who beat the likes of Knox Mutizwa, Williams Twala and Dumisani Zuma to this award.

It was for the first time that Mbule won the player of the month award. He scored two goals and had an assist in the five games played during that period.

The SA U23 international averaged two to three shot assists per 90 minutes and defensively improved as well by 1,85 percent per 90 game.

His final third pass had an accuracy of 76,5 % with a 30 % shot conversion. Away from the football field, Mbule says another good thing about his good performances has been about surrounding himself with some good company.
