Hundreds of Mpumalanga African National Congress (ANC) members and supporters are expected to gather at KwaNyamazane Stadium west of Mbombela to celebrate the election of Premier David Mabuza as the party’s Deputy President.
Mabuza was elected at the party’s 54th national conference at Nasrec, south of Johannesburg last week.
He defeated his rival Lindiwe Sisulu who was also contesting for the position. The prayer celebration is expected to be attended by various denominations as well as members of the public.
Mabuza is expected to address the public for the first time after being elected to the position.
