A 43 year old taxi boss has been fatally shot while dropping his children at a school in Fairview, in Port Elizabeth.
Police spokesperson Priscilla Naidu says the deceased’s wife had allegedly just entered the vehicle after walking their nine year old son to school premises, when two suspects approached the vehicle and shot the deceased.
Naidu says the suspects sped off in a waiting vehicle.
The 43 year old sustained gunshot wounds in his head, neck and shoulder and died on the scene.
Police suspect the deceased was the target as his 35 year old wife did not sustain any injuries.
Police are investigating a case of murder.
