Newly-appointed National Police Commissioner Khehla John Sithole has vowed to execute the critical task of making South Africans feel safer in their communities.
Sithole was appointed two months ago.
His vision is to turn-around the South African Police Service this year.
“The turn-around vision is intended to change the face of policing and also change the confidence, building new confidence of the community. The main intention of the turn-around is to stamp the authority of the state and make sure the presence of policy in this country is felt and government is in charge,” says Sithole.
