Newly elected Cape Town Mayor, Dan Plato is expected to appoint members of the mayoral committee on Sunday.
This after the previous Mayoral Committee (Mayco) members were dissolved following the resignation of former Mayor Patricia De Lille.
She resigned at the end of last month as Cape Town Mayor and as member of the Democratic Alliance following a prolonged battle with her party.
Plato wears the mayoral chain for the second time in the past decade.
