The murder case of 40 year-old Soweto born rapper Thulani Ngcobo, popularly known as Pitch Black Afro, is expected to continue Tuesday morning in the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court.

Ngcobo, has been charged with murder and defeating the ends of justice after being suspected of having killed his wife Catherine Modusane on 31 December in Yeoville in Johannesburg.

Pitch Black Afro is expected to make his second appearance in the dock after his case was postponed last week.

The postponement was to allow the court time to verify his address.

The court also heard that the rapper doesn’t have any money to appoint his own attorney and he had asked for the state to provide him with legal aid.

It’s understood that on the 31st of December police believed that Catherine Modusane died of natural causes, however a few days later a murder docket was opened after foul play was suspected.
