The Automobile Association says fuel prices look set for another jump going into July.

The AA says in a statement that since the start of June, the Rand has steadily weakened against the US dollar.

The prediction follows an unaudited mid-month fuel data released by the Central Energy Fund.

Fortunately international oil prices retreated and have had a very small impact on the figures.

The current data is forecasting a rise of around 32 cents a litre for petrol, 30 cents for diesel, and 22 cents for illuminating paraffin.

In May, the fuel increased negatively affect the freight and transport industry.

The petrol  increased by 49 cents, diesel by 60 cents and the price of illuminating paraffin by 52 cents per litre.
