Parliament’s portfolio committee on Home Affairs is expected to discuss the emails about the naturalisation of the Gupta family, which is alleged to have been fast-tracked.
Home Affairs Minister Malusi Gigaba earlier denied allegations that he granted some of the Gupta family member’s permanent South African citizenship without following due process. Meanwhile, the Communications committee will discuss allegations of state capture leveled against former Communications Minister Faith Muthambi, no longer in the cabinet.
It’s been alleged that Muthambi sent minutes of Cabinet meetings to the Gupta family while she was Communications Minister.
