Our future in Akhumzi has been robbed: Mthethwa

Arts and Culture Minister Nathi Mthethwa has used the funeral service of Yo-TV presenter and TV producer Akhumzi  Jezile at the Rhema Bible Church in Randburg, Johannesburg, to highlight the importance of respecting traffic regulations.

“We must all renew our pledge and commitment to ensure that we do our part in ensuring the safety in our roads and be considerate to other road users. Incidents such as these rob our country our nation of its future, our future in Akhumzi has been robbed.”

Delivering a eulogy, Mthethwa expressed his  condolences to the families of the artists who died in the car crash along with Jezile.

The 29-year-old died in a car crash on the N6 near Queenstown while travelling to the Eastern Cape last weekend.

Siyasanga Kobese and Thobani Mseleni, were among the five people who died in the crash.

Jezile will be laid to rest at Westpark funeral later Saturday afternoon.
