Operation Fiela Two kicks off in KwaZulu-Natal

Reading Time: < 1 minute

The national crime fighting blitz dubbed Operation Fiela Two launched earlier this year, kicked off,  in KwaZulu-Natal Friday.

More than 500 police officers from different units will carry out the operations across the province.

The men and women in blue are ready for combat. Their mission is to reclaim the streets. Crime hotspots like gang-ridden hostels will be a major focus.  The notorious Glebelands and KwaMashu remain a thorn in the side of police.

Operations will also target urban areas where drug dens and hijacked buildings are a concern. The operations will run until March next year. Communities have again been urged to assist the police in efforts to fight crime.
