Reading Time: < 1 minute

One Young World is about bringing young people together, a “human family” where you realise that though we come from different countries, we are all the same.

One Young World co founder Kate Robertson was interviewed on Morning Live on Wednesday.

Wednesday marks the official opening of One Young World 2013, South Africa in soccer city.

This will bring together 190 countries, which is the biggest gathering of countries.

It brings together bright young minds in a global network of socially committed individuals with leadership potential who work on amazing projects.

The event, dubbed “YOUNG DAVOS”, is hosted by the City of Johannesburg.

Since its inception, One Young World has impacted the lives of 4.6 million people and has 800 different community programmes worldwide.

Robertson says the impact of One Young World has been huge. Elected MP’s and congress men have come from One Young World and a lot of the young people are starting their own companies. Edited by Busi Magudulela
