A 14-year-old boy from Parow is presumed to have drowned at Milnerton Lagoon Beach in Cape Town while swimming with friends late Saturday afternoon.
National Sea Rescue Institute(NSRI) Table Bay, NSRI Melkbosstrand, the Skymed helicopter and emergency rescue services responded to the scene.
NSRI spokesperson, Craig Lambinon says despite an extensive search operation, there was no sign of the teenager.
He says divers resumed the search for the teenager early Sunday morning.
“Police divers will continue with the search operation at Milnerton lagoon beach,” adds Lambinon.
